The Lobo Thur

Life In The Shadow

Lobo Thur is Otlum’s very first documentary, an immersive journey into the life of the Ethur people in Abim District. For generations, the Ethur have walked the land between the Acholi and the Karamojong — a people with their own language, customs, and a proud legacy hidden in plain sight.

This documentary is a journey into the forgotten identity of a young girl’s community, long overshadowed by neighboring tribes. From the sacred hills of Abim to the fireside stories passed down through generations, Lobo Thur uncovers voices that have waited too long to be heard.

Through her journey, we witness the Ethur reclaiming a name that was never lost — only unheard. Through authentic storytelling and vibrant visuals, Lobo Thur captures the richness of Abim — from the wisdom of its elders to the laughter of its children, from ancient rituals to the dreams of its youth.

This is more than a documentary; it is a celebration of heritage, identity, and community, preserving culture while amplifying voices that deserve to be seen and heard.

Stay tuned for the release of Lobo Thur, and join us in experiencing the untold stories of the Ethur people — stories that connect the past, present, and future of Abim.
